De acuerdo con las regulaciones fiscales del Perú, los ciudadanos peruanos (y los extranjeros que permanezcan más de 59 días en el Perú) deben pagar el 18% de impuesto sobre las ventas. Para estar exentos del pago del 18% de impuesto sobre las ventas, los huéspedes deben presentar una copia de su tarjeta de inmigración y de su pasaporte. Es necesario presentar ambos documentos para poder calificar para la exención del pago del impuesto sobre las ventas. En caso contrario, los huéspedes deberán pagar el impuesto indicado. Este impuesto se aplica en el caso de habitaciones compartidas por huéspedes que deben pagar el impuesto sobre las ventas y huéspedes exentos del pago del impuesto sobre las ventas. Los huéspedes extranjeros en viaje de negocios que soliciten una factura impresa también deberán pagar el 18 % de impuesto sobre las ventas, independientemente de la duración de su estancia en Perú. Este impuesto no se incluye automáticamente en el importe total de la reserva.
